1934年6月にヒトラーはイタリアを訪問し、ムッソリーニと初会談(この時点では同盟関係はまだ結んでいません)を行いました。
ヒトラーはムッソリーニ対して強いインパクトを受けましたが、一方のムッソリーニはそれ程のインパクトは受けませんでした。
これはヒトラーがいつもの褐色の制服ではなく背広姿で対面した事が大きく作用していたようです。

In June, 1934, Hitler visited Italy to have his first talks with Mussolini (At this point they had not yet formed an alliance.) Mussolini made a strong impact on Hitler, but Mussolini was not impacted in the same way. The fact that Hitler first met Mussolini in civilian clothes, instead of his usual brown uniform, seems to have contributed to this greatly.
