  • The Lonely Homehomemoron.

What is the strongest creature on Earth? The scorpion? The lion? Hippos? Man?
No, in fact it is none of those. The strongest creatures are Homehomemorons.
Long, long ago in the ancient days, whether by whim of the gods or by pure chance, a single cell floating in the foams of the ocean mutated to create a new life form. That was the beginning of the Homehomemoron.
This was a very shy Homehomemoron, afraid of others. Although it hated being alone, it couldn't stay calm around others.
Being alone was loathsome, but being around others was unnerving. But this little bashful, common little boy-like Homehomemoron wanted to talk to someone more than anything else in the whole wide world.
This is when the Homehomemoron struck upon an intriguing idea. If talking to others is frightening, maybe talking to oneself isn't such a bad idea. The Homehomemoron found its way into the inside of a bat, flying around the seashore and there, he used a part of the bat's body to make a carbon copy of itself. The Homehomemoron was glad to have found a partner to play with. The Homehomemoron, who had always been alone, now began enjoying itself. If only 2 Homehomemorons is this much fun, what about 3? Or 4? Or how about 5? The more the merrier, and Homehomemoron pleased its wishes. Two, four, sixteen, thirty-two, more and more.
But as the Homehomemorons grew in number the poor host bat began to feel their toll. The bat begin couldn't take this explosion of Homehomemorons and they began pouring from its eyes and ears, from its very pores with its blood.
The Homehomemorons cast from the bat were lonely again. ... lonely, but numerous. All of which were shy, and eager to create more friends like them self.
One found its way into a rat, another into a large iguana, and yet another... into a stegosaurus, into a pachycephalosaur, a tyrannosaurus, a spinosaurus, a puertasaurus... And so within a year the Homehomemorons were able to enter nearly every creature on Earth within a single year and "burst" each of them. But the Homehomemorons did not stop. That, is without a doubt, the strongest creature on Earth. However even the Homehomemorons came to an end. That is, with a single giant fireball from the sky.
A great asteroid fell to the land; a land covered in the death and corpses in the wake of Homehomemoron. As the great asteroid burnt and destroyed the Homehomemorons, it threw enormous masses of earth into the atmosphere, blocking out the sun and ushering in a new ice age. And so, it was at the hand of the Homehomemoron, not a simple asteroid, that the dinosaurs were made extinct.
This was the greatest, strongest creature to call Earth its home after the extinction of dinosaurs; the shy Homehomemoron. Just one asteroid brought the extinction of the entire Homehomemoron species....

...with the exception of only one survivor.

Customer at a bar: "Barkeep, what's that ice you have there?"

Bartender: "This here? It's actual ice from the Arctic. I had it imported just for customers on special occasions. "

Customer: "Is that so!? I'd love to see what it tastes like..."

Barkeeper: "You know, this ice has been around since the the days of the dinosaurs. It must have a pretty distinct taste. Hey... what's wrong? You've been sitting there nervously all night."

Customer: "Huh? Oh, my granddaughter is about to be born. She's my first granddaughter so I suppose I must be anxious."

Bartender: "Is that so? Congratulations! You know what... if that's the case..."

The Homehomemoron is a very lonely creature.
