Passive Overworld mob in Minecraft that naturally spawns in villages and inhabits them. Sleeps at night. Once a villager gets a job by acquiring nearby utility block, players can trade with them for job-related items. For instance, an unemployed villager that encounters nearby blast furnace will turn into an armorer that has a chance to trade an iron breastplate (chestplate) and buy 4 iron ingots for an emerald. Like the player,
villagers have 20 health points (10 hearts) and can wear armor (only via dispenser, won't be visible on the model). Hitting a villager will cause it to raise trade prices for the player who does so, and enough aggression towards villagers will eventually cause the iron golems protecting the village to attack the player.
They have light brown skin, green eyes, thick eyebrows, an oversized rectangular head, and a large hooked nose. Their outfit varies depending on their home biome and occupation. For instance, all villagers that spawn in a plains biome wear brown robes, a librarian wears glasses and has a book on head, a cartographer wears a monocle, farmers wear yellow straw hats, weaponsmiths don a black colored eyepatch on left eye, and so on.
