A fictional mecha from the Macross series. It first appeared in Choujikuu Yousai Macross TV anime series from 1982.

The Viggers/Chrauler ADR-04-Mk X Defender destroid is an anti-aircraft defense robot system (mecha) created by the U.N. Spacy to fight the Zentradi.

Designed for anti-aircraft operations in mind, the Defender featured two heavy and very potent double barrel automatic cannons for arms. The mecha also has two large ammunition drums (often mistaken for missile pods) mounted on top of its main chassis.

The Defender was designed by Miyatake Kazutaka in the early 80s.

It was initially used as the Rifleman in the BattleTech board game franchise during the eighties.
