    OFP オペレーションフラッシュポイント

A combat simulator series, started by Bohemia Interactive Studios with Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis in 2001, re-released as ARMA: Cold War Assault in 2011.

Set in 1985, it involves a war between the US and the USSR on a group of islands.

Its realism led to special military versions released for real militaries, such as the United States Marine Corps.

The original games made by Bohemia Interactive would see a spiritual successor from the same developer in the form of the ARMA series starting from 2006 onwards.

The intellectual property of the series would be retained by the original game's publisher, Codemasters, who would go on to develop and release their own sequel, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, in 2009.
