    死侍 デッドプール Deadpool poolverine

I always forget (or just black out to spare myself the agony) what Wilson's most lethal weapon is... his mouth! He'll talk nonsense until you surrender or commit suicide.
    --Domino

Deadpool is a mercenary and anti-hero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by artist Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza, Deadpool (Wade Wilson) first appeared in The New Mutants #98 (Feb. 1991).

A disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary with the ability to quickly regenerate himself, Deadpool originally appeared as a villain in an issue of New Mutants, and later in issues of X-Force. The character has since starred in several ongoing series, and shares titles with other characters such as Cable. The character, known as the "Merc with a Mouth", is famous for his talkative nature and his tendency to "break the fourth wall", which is used by writers for humorous effect.

With his inclusion in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 his ability to break the fourth wall has been taken to a whole new level. The character would later achieve even greater success after his 2016 film of the same name, followed up by two sequels, one in 2018 and another in 2024.
