griddle
A cooking device that is composed of a flat metal sheet or stone cooking surface above a heating mechanism (heating coils, fire, etc).
According to wikipedia a modern griddle is internally distinct from a flattop grill, but are externally identical in appearance. For tagging purposes this tag encompasses both "griddles" and "flattop grills."
