First lead mecha of Gundam 00.
It is one of Celestial Being's 3rd Generation Gundams and specializes in close quarters combat.
It is also armed with seven melee weapons, hence its "Seven Swords" development code. Its physical blades (the GN Sword and the GN Long and Short Blades) has the ability to penetrate and neutralize GN Fields. Thus, the Gundam Exia is also designed to fight against GN Mobile Suit/s that is piloted by a betrayer, or captured/developed by the enemy and used against Celestial Being, with its pilot being given a responsibility to defend the organization from traitors and enemies who uses their own technology against them.
