mateba model 6 unica
An atypical semi-automatic revolver developed and produced in 1997 by Italian manufacturer Mateba; notable for being low-barreled, as most revolvers are aligned to the top cylinder.
Not to be confused with the Chiappa Rhino (which has a similar silhouette, is also semi-automatic, and has a low-barrel as well, due to being designed by the same person, Emilio Ghisoni) or the Mateba 2006m (which is not semi-automatic, and has an enclosed housing at the top, in contrast to the Unica's open topped housing).
There is a separate tag for the variant used by Togusa in Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex, being the Mateba 2008m, which is a design hybrid of the Mateba Model 6 and 2006M; the Mateba m-m2007 used in the original Ghost In The Shell and Ghost In The Shell 2: Man Machine Interface is NOT based on the Unica, but the Mateba 2006M.
