The Pancor Jackhammer is a 12-gauge bullpup automatic shotgun. Designed in 1984 by John A. Anderson, who formed the company Pancor Industries in New Mexico, USA. Patented in 1987. Despite not being successful, the weapon is frequently featured in some films and television shows, as well as video games, due to its distinct futuristic appearance.
The unconventional mechanism of the Pancor Jackhammer can best be described as a gas-operated revolver. Its layout consisted of a bullpup configuration with a detachable 10-round revolving cylinder. The cylinder's method of rotation was very similar to the Webley-Fosbery Automatic Revolver, an operating rod being used to rotate the cylinder, although gas-operated as opposed to the recoil operation of the Webley-Fosbery.
