star-shaped pupils

When a character's pupils are shaped like a star. This tag is only for when the entire pupil is shaped like a star. Use star in eye for cases where there is a star present inside the eyes. Very often the pupils are bright.

When indicating eyes lighting up in excitement, use +_+ instead. +_+ is for fleeting excitement, star-shaped pupils are the character's permanent eye shape.

Do not confuse with cross-shaped pupils or diamond-shaped pupils, which are not star-shaped.
