An 1847 painting by French artist Alexandre Cabanel.
In the image, a winged Lucifer is shown fully nude. He is depicted reclining with an arm raised over his mouth, and his fingers interlocked. With tears running down his face, he is seen crying, with a raging look in his eyes, while angels fly in the sky above him.
