The combat branch of the Nazi Party's paramilitary Schutzstaffel (SS) organization. Heinrich Himmler, Josef Mengele and Michael Wittmann were some of the prominent members.
Generally recognized by the all black uniform worn by the officers, despite most units did not wear the iconic black SS uniform outside of Germany. Instead they and the soldiers wore the similar field grey military uniform of the Wehrmacht. Pay attention to the specific insignia.
Do not use for fictional uniforms or outfits modelled after the SS uniform.
