A good show with a nice story, awesome characters and ridiculous character development combined with a show with barely a story, no character development and somewhat annoying characters?
I approve and not approve at the same time!
(Gotta love how well Kyouko's costume fits Mio though)
Really? The only characters I've liked in PMMM are Kyouko and Homerun-chan; Sayaka's and Mami's main characteristics are "herp" and "derp"; and Madoka just stands around while things happen around her except in previous timelines where she's already a PM, but we're not given much insight into her characterization then.
>ridiculous character development
Ridiculous, alright. Homerun-chan's and Kyouko's are retroactive (i.e., starting at the beginning of the series, we don't get to see who they become as the story progresses, but instead who they were before the story began); Sayaka's is "moar herp"; Mami is "moar derp" (or, alternatively, she's not given enough screen time for character development except in the retroactive sense i.e., in one of the previous timelines where she finds out PMs become Witches and tries to kill everyone); and Madoka is "I just stand here and things happen and I don't know what the fuck".
Not saying that PMMM isn't an awesome show (it absolutely is), but it's awesome for the plot and the plot twists and for its originality in an a genre that is oft-claimed to be stale and uniform and for Homura; not so much for its deep characters or great character development or engrossing character studies or anything of the like.
