Well, everybody said that. But it can't be help, rite? A rice without soy sauce, it lose 50% of its deliciousness. It just plain, so sour.......
1/2 kilogram for, maybe 10 days or 2 weeks?
To be fair to both sides, rice is suppose to have no flavor and thus you eat it with other things. Usually that is other dishes like in this case, the curry, or other side dishes that you eat with the rice; in that sense, you shouldn't mix soy sauce with the rice as the soy sauce might clash with whatever dish you are eating with the rice (such as the curry). However, soy sauce can serve as a side by itself or simply be a part of the dish that is cooked with soy sauce, and if you use that soy sauce to put on rice, people don't really find fault with that. TL;DR Do what you want with rice just don't waste it.
All in all, Koharu has been tagged with "Critical Hit (Medium damage)" on Pixiv so interpret it as you will.

The plain taste is what makes it delicious: white rice, miso soup with tofu and wakame, pickled vegetables (and if you want a sumptuous meal, a small portion of fried dry fish) is all you need for life. Especially after going all-out in the previous night.
well, for some end-of-the-month-college-student-who-life-on-their-own, rice + soysauce are bestfriend, they might only can eat that for a week or so until their parents transfer some money for them, at least that happens in my country =w=

I can vouch for that. I'm past college life, but in times when you just don't wanna cook, a bowl of rice with some fried eggs and a dash of soy sauce is more than sufficient for a meal. It gives a salty, slightly mellow taste that'll hit you in the right spot.

Bowl of piping-hot rice, a raw egg, plus some soy sauce. Tamago kaki gohan at its finest.
...but yeah, soy sauce on (finished) curry is horrible.
(Now, if the soy sauce was used for sauteing or deglazing before you add the liquid for the curry instead...)

Ah, my experience was rice with hot-sauce... and maybe butter too if I was feeling "fancy".
On a more serious note, was not expecting to come across health hazards in danbooru comments, but if if you're one of those who takes soy sauce, esp. copious amounts (like >2tbps), and every meal on top of that, please stop.
Hypertension will find you, and soon. That's too much sodium in your food.

These people may as well consume salt straight out of the container with that kind of soy sauce consumption.

yelp. Anyway, when Indonesians say 'soy sauce', they often forgot to tell that their soy sauce is usually sweet rather than salty, salty soy sauce being not that frequently used in our local cuisine. Heck, a good portion of home kitchens and food stalls around here don't even keep a bottle of salty soy sauce around, while sweet ones are kitchen mainstays.
