Yeah, I don't really see the point in uploading most of these again. The quality is exactly the same (or in this case worse) for nearly all of them.
I dunno, they say that pictures taken from Pixiv are higher quality and have less... I don't know what it was called again but okay, I see why to reupload. But for this one only (I think? Didn't bother to check every pic), it's rather the contrary.

Compression artifacting. If you give Pixiv and Twitter the same JPEG, Pixiv leaves it mostly alone (I seem to recall they do a little file header tweaking or something? Can't remember) while Twitter will smash it with a compression sledgehammer, making edges very blocky and corrupting solid colors near edges.

In this case, the two weren't fed the same image.
That makes sense for JPEGs, but Kotanuki uploads all his images (Twitter and Pixiv) as PNGs, which is a lossless format. By my understanding of graphics formats, the quality should be the same no matter how Twitter compresses it. I understand Pixiv is generally preferred, my point was images by this specific artist appear exactly the same regardless of source (and barring any other changs e.g. layout).
Sorry, I should have made my initial point more clear. It just seems like a lot of unnecessary duplication.

You're correct about pngs. I'll tell the uploader about it.
Twitter also recompresses png resulting in worse quality and/or bigger filesize. Yeah, recompression to make the files smaller actually makes them bigger. lol So, the pixiv ones are original while the twitter ones are not.
