I should also point out this was tagged with "Dennou Coil". I didn't watch the show, but Googling reveals that a large part of the show revolves around computer viruses that appear as black shadows.
I also translated "真っ黒" as "Blacky Thing" rather than a more literal "Pitch Black" because a later (but previously uploaded) strip references them as such. It's probable that's a Dennou Coil reference, as well.
It may be that the viruses in Dennou Coil were referenced as "Blacky Thing" in some of the translations, but the translation on post #2388814 is pretty shaky to start with, so if someone who knows more wants to weigh in on that, they're welcome to.
Not really viruses but fragments of old deleted files/memory thats resurfacing. It's been years since i saw that show but for anyone to see that they need to wear those glasses

Reminds me of the British sci-fi show Black Mirror. The episode White Christmas had a society where, instead of phones, everyone had an implanted communication device called the Z-Eye that let them access the internet, call anyone and show them what they're looking at. If a person blocked someone else, it was two-way and total: they couldn't call the other person, see them (they would be replaced with monochrome static), or talk to them in-person (their voice would be muffled and unintelligible). Even images of the other person show up as static.
Anyone who ends up on the government sex offender registry is blocked by everyone and shows up as red static.
PoiiiiIs Kumano scaaared?Po--POIIIIIIII?!PoiiiiThat issue aside, I wonder, is there any truth to that rumor...?Th-this time it was already cracked when Yuudachi got here, -ppoi!

Blacked Out?Ahhhh!
Yuudachi, you broke a vase again, didn't you?!
*GOOONG!*
Anyway, it's just an urban legend, 'innit? That was an unkind action to take...If you do nothing but mischief, you'll get "Blacked Out," you know?Getting "Blacked Out" means a ships' records and even the memory others hold of them have been erased, and who wander the naval base even now...
