Marisa's hair has to be super fluffy and drizzly. Marisa with straight hair is just weird.

Canonically, she's fluffy, frizzy-haired. But also she had either long or short hair and the only constant is that side braid. And if we bring in PC-95 here, he had red-hair in her first appearance.

But as for me, either way is fine. Because it's Marisa we're talking about here. If she could just go in and "borrow" some books in a library and never give it back because he wants to, then changing hairstyles is a piece of cake for her.
