When Colombus shows his true color and betrays Guda, there's a flashback where Colombus seemingly killed Blavatsky after she got rayshifted separately from the main party like Heracles and Drake because Colombus thought that she would see through his scheme. It turns out she survives the assassination attempt and saves Guda when Laputa get destroyed.
