is it just me who feel like fanartist exaggerate Artoria's "Bad/ Non-caring Parent" trait a wee bit? I mean, I prefer the lancer versions myself but this is a bit...

It's canon in official comedic work of fate, so fan arts are just doing the same.

My question remains. Wasn't regret of her cold detached personality in life kind of a core part of her character arc to begin with? The reason she got pulled into the grail mess to begin with?

the Comedic works always exaggerate for well..Comedy. Take a look for example at how "bad" characters are potrayed in Carnival Phantasm
They dial up the negative traits for characters to 11 there. Rin being "bad with technology" is now "Rin makes all technology explode for no reason". Even a normal DVD player. Or telling the viewer it took Rin over an hour just to learn how to swipe stuff on a Smartphone.

was about to type up a counterpoint, but I think I'm starting to take it a hair too seriously. but in short, just a touch worried that "up to 11" becomes the new middleground is all
@Catasros: Well, you may be interested in this comic, then, where FSN!Artoria actually tries to bridge the rift between her and Mordred... through giving much needed advice regarding Mordred's newfound love problems. It alternates between heartwarming and funny as each of the two's quirks come into play.

I'm not crying... but it isn't that far off either
