Honestly i think that i prefer this boy's design over tanned Youmu. He has that quirky charm and originality, i like it.

Also his name has multiple reasons behind it - Allister is obviously reference to Aleister Crowley, famous english cultist, ritualist etc. but also it's gaelic form of Alexander, "defender of mankind" (like in protection from evil spirits etc) and Allium, genus of plants like Onion, garlic, leeks.

On another note, there's a little bonus hidden in the gym leader uniform numbers:

831 = yasai = vegetable
046 = oyogu = swimming
193 = ikusa = battle
291 = nikui = hatred

Mmm yep. I like this quite a bit.
But I feel like he'll be shipped with someone...

Just laughing at the fact that his name is Onion (Oni-on in his case). I like him. Hope he has some layers to his character
