    I was kind of thinking the same thing. As an example, the Kouhai is about half a head taller with her bust completely on top of Ai's. This pushes Ai's breast down, but also pushes the Kouhai's way up, which makes it look like they have different proportions. Her breasts are being squished outward too by the hug, so Ai's bust is also wider here.

    I think Ai's breasts are being drawn way too low at that though. Kouhai's arms should be crossing over the widest part of Ai's bust if they were hugging, so they would be squishing into her arms, so she would have a harder time crossing her hands behind Ai. No idea why the artist did it this way.
