I swear this is a scene from Dragon Ball, but I can't remember where.
I think it's a reference to the final fight of Dragon Ball Super, with Freeza and Goku vs. Jiren, with the former two teaming up with a scene like this playing briefly. They were quite good at fighting together despite their history.
