Wow, if you watch the whole thing, I bet it would probably feel like watching a movie.
The translations so far have been great, but the subtitles switches a bit too fast to read for normal viewers, so sometimes you might have to pause the video to read them. I'm a bit worried that Youtube might take out Episode 8's audio though, just like last time.

I think having seen more translations, things starting to be more understandable and less complicated to speculate whats happening.
I was too. I looked the series up on TVTROPES (actually found an entry) and saw Soundtrack Dissonance correctly put it in it. He plays some weird happy BGMs while showing some rather creepy scenes (notably the one where she was scratching at the Mr.Door). However, some BGMs are fitting, especially the upcoming battle with Reisen and Yukari, using either Dance of the Moon Rabbit or Happiness of Marionette to create an allusion of a certain Siesta. I wonder if Reisen (yes THAT REISEN) is supposed to be based on the 4th Siesta?
And the translations, it seems that the theory on Koakuma has been definitely confirmed on Episode 8. She can use not only dead people's powers, but even that of dead GODS

Also, Satori's motivations of killing Orin is somehow starting to clear up.
If ever before or all the current episodes were translated, I hope the series could finally continue, men I just love this series especially those unexpected creepy twisted sanity-snapping parts.

Someone's comment on youtube deliberated further that the reason for that was because she saw the even greater horror that the Little Devil was planning, but was too emotionally distressed to keep fighting. Feeling the End Times for Gensokyo coming, she performs a quick and painless mercy kill on Orin. I hope that the creator realizes he has some kind of fan-following in the western Touhou Fandom and gets on continuing the series soon. I look forward to the translation to these series more than the current season anime I'm watching.
About the insanity, I also believe that the creator was partially influenced by Higurashi. He has a Higurashi series of comics I'm planning to upload in a second. Dunno what to call it, "Ex-Soldier Rika's Exciting Adventure"?
