The way ZUN described the ability of most characters always ticks me. It's that 「○○を操る程度の能力」 phrasing.
He made it sounds as if everybody think very lightly of their ability.

Can't find a good wording, but like here, Sakuya is probably saying, "I'm just an ordinary human who only have the ability to control time (which is not a big deal, isn't it?)"

When you're in Gensokyo where almost everyone has superpowers, one time manipulator isn't really much of a great deal.

I like it that way. It's almost as if ZUN is saying abilities or not, supernatural or ordinary, in the end, they are all just a part of Gensokyo. It gives a certain charm to know that power or ability isn't what a character's all about.
