It's cool, we'll follow her to Antarctica after we get through Ordeal Call III... unless Lasengle decides to stall the end of part 2 even further.
App8the Avengers being in Antarctica was an improper early translation. Most translators in the community agree that the proper version is that all the Avengers were fully unsummoned, because "one should only use Avengers if they're willing to walk the path of an avenger themselves" and because MC doesn't want to be an avenger, he had to part with them in the story. So yeah Jalter is gone

DATA LOST implies that the records of the Servant themselves are gone and thus cannot be used at all because the Servant themself doesn't exist.
LINK LOST meanwhile means that the Servant themselves is gone out of Chaldea, but their records still remain in the database. It is mentioned that Guda can still call upon the missing Avengers as Shadow Servants (AKA in-gameplay) even if they are gone until things turn to better.

Doubt it, Jalter is a fan favorite character, I'd be quite surprised if they just killed her off like that. Plus, like the other guy said, if she really was gone, like when ORT absorbed a servant, it should say Data Lost, but it says Link Lost, I doubt that wasn't on purpose.

I'm not up to this plot yet, but I didn't know there was such a case as LINK LOST. So is the big difference between the two, that LINK LOST is just a case of the proper servant in question being absent from Chaldea's active roster, but data banked and stored, whereas DATA LOST, is a case like Musashi's where their entire existence is wiped as well as from the active Chaldea bank?
This is why I only play mulitplayer games lol I’m weak to stuff like this in single player games. Granted I stopped playing after I beat Act 1 so I’m sure there’s more miserable stuff for me to go through.

That...actually sums it up perfectly, although people keep having their doubts since Jalter is not entirely a heroic spirit aka. Historic figure, but something Gilles forged with twisted methodology and creating the impossible apparently. But I highly doubt they're just gonna send Jalter off or do something gruesome/tragic since she's so beloved even among the creators, although there might a slight chance for it to happen but that's hard to even consider. Funny enough one specific man bowed in front of the screen with the animation update of the Jeannes.

You're half right there, but here's the actual deal; one can't always decide the path but the way it's judged how one walks along their own path can be seen differently, that's also why Ritsuka is seen sometimes as someone that tries their best to save as many as possible even if he causes chaos unintentionally along the way. Ritsuka could archieve something like a Beast class due to the love and hope towards humanity or an avenger class if you want to twist it that way. There's more behind that actual scenario rather than "he's not gonna go that way", it's not a choice either, it's even more like a finish line if you want to take it literally. Yeah, everything solved but at what cost, that's basically it. Plus, one could also theorize based on how much certain characters are loved by the story themselves and so on, but that's another different case too.

Was Musashi not as well received then, or is she just not as popular to the extent Jalter is?

Musashi I felt was a bit more forced on us rather than Jalter. Musashi was constantly popping up and I found her little timehopping stuff to be a bit weird. Added on to the few JP players I do interact with, they definitely would have preferred male Musashi Grand Saber copium but for me, I just found her forced on me a bit too much. Her final sequence was pretty awesome though.

Basically this. Musashi became too much of a forced meme still not to the extent of Nero though and even her fans thought it was getting to be a bit much. Jalter's also popular but while relatively frequent, her appearances and character development feel more tempered so it's easy to understand why this feels like more of a gutpunch to the fanbase.
