Yeah she did that in the 5th episode of season one

Oh I know. What I was trying to say was maybe by now Shirley had broken the sound barrier as part of a program like the X-1. Just because she broke the sound barrier in season one (1944) doesn't necessarily mean it would be recognized. Her speed would have to be recorded in some way by some official body.
