Tag Alias: *girl -> *_girl

cowgirl -> cow_girl
buggirl -> bug_girl
plantgirl -> plant_girl
googirl -> goo_girl

These should all be two words to be consistent with monster_girl and demon_girl, as well as various other lesser used *_girl tags.

I was thinking cowgirl as in a variant of cowboy which is normally a single word but I see I had completely the wrong image in mind there..
Now I'm wondering why catgirl is aliased to cat_ears but we have bunny_girl, bunny_ears, bunnysuit, cowgirl, cow_ears, cow_costume...

I thought cowgirl was at one point female cowboy and cow_girl was girl with cow_ears, etc. Did this change at some point? If we change this perhaps we should leave the cowgirl -> cow_girl alias out and treat each as a seperate tag. Cowgirl (female cowboy) should be important enough to have a tag of its own.

I had done the changes with the cowgirl tag, because the majority of images tagged with it were of cow girls and not female cowboys. Honestly I think for female cowboys it should just be tagged cowboy, the tag isn't used enough as is and by default here the majority of characters with the outfit will be female. It's the same reasoning why I had put out the kunoichi -> ninja alias, there were so few male ninjas tagged and so many female ninjas that there was no point in trying separating the two.

I would be in favor though of the current cowgirl being mass edited to cow_girl and then cowgirl aliased to cowboy or something.

No objections here. This seems less prone to confusion than having both cow_girl (girl dressed as a cow) and cowgirl (female cowboy) tags.

The only issue I see with aliasing cowgirl to anything is that people will wind up inadvertantly tagging their cow girl images with cowboy... though I suppose one should hope they'd realize something went wrong and fix it.

Yep. The western tag refers to female cowboys and the whole genre, but people often assume cowgirl means both that and the milk-tank variety. I've also seen images where people confuse western with toon. Everything's been kept relatively sorted-out recently and all of the wiki pages are correct, but occasional slip-ups happen.

Oh right, I swore we had a tag for it. Yes, western it is.

Anyway, I aliased goo/bug/plantgirl to *_girl.

Are we decided then on cowgirl -> cow_girl, or just a mass edit instead?

I like them squished together personally.
