The forums are for discussing the site itself (i.e. tagging help, bulk update requests, site culture & updates, etc), not general chit-chat. help:image source will basically do the same thing as asking individual users here in the forum, since those would be all the resources I'd use to reverse-image search something.
To be fair, asking for sourcing help could easily be seen by users as falling under general site discussion. This isn't comparable to someone trying to make friends in the forums. However, it would be better to ask in the comments of the specific post (or just tag it with source request), and only after you've done everything you can to find the source yourself.
Edit: Just realized the link was to a media asset, so asking in the comments wouldn’t have worked.

Thanks for the info. I could've sworn I found the image I posted above earlier on this site, but for whatever reason, I can't find it here or anywhere else anymore.
