If you're new here and learning about how the site works, the wiki is a great place to start. More specifically, I recommend reading about uploading, content ratings, taging, and the moderation queue. I hope this helps you out. Edit: also generally, this probably isn't the best place to upload your own art; the quality standards here are pretty high for what doesn't get deleted.

I'm not an approver, so I'm not speaking for them, but in my opinion the line work is a little too rough. Additionally, this is directed at everyone since I see it come up occasionally: likes really don't have much to do with approval; there are many posts that aren't tagged AI, weren't approved, and have hundreds of likes.
Is there anything particularly wrong with this one?
Other similar pictures from the same artist (of IMO similar quality) got approved in the past.

Sometimes I wonder what the approval criteria are, because there is works with questionable qualities approved and another simpler but consistent deleted just because of "disinterest". I can understand even the post has quality will depend of approver's taste, but it's kind sad and annoying this criteria, because it will only be disinterest the reason of delete. I like some post has a reason to be deleted, like "poor quality", because with this, someone can learn how to think if a post is worth or not to upload.

A few things. Sometimes posts do get missed, which is the main reason why the appeal process exits. "Disinterest" only means an approver didn't like the post enough to approve it, nothing more and nothing less. There can be many reasons why they choose disinterest; maybe they didn't like the content or artistic style, to name a couple. Lastly, active doesn't mean approved. Contributors and above bypass the approval process and sometimes they post stuff that otherwise wouldn't make it through.

I can understand if approval depends on whether the approver likes it or not, but I wanted to know to what extent this interferes with the approval criteria, because I think it sets limits on what to post just because of the approver's taste, regardless of the artistic and technical quality, because it will depend on whether the person likes it or not.
