inconsistant tagging of stars and hearts

Posted under General

The lack of a general tag never goes against a policy here. (unless it's loli/shota)
"Tag what you see".
If there is a star symbol or a heart in the image and it hasn't already been tagged by the uploader or someone else, you should add that tag.

That said, most of the images in /brsc -star are not tagged star because there is no star in the image. (post #881583)
Same for cure_black -heart (post #556689)
If you think there are images in there in need of a star or heart tag, you can always add them yourself, which is very appreciated.

Actually, about more than half of the pictures under cure_black -heart have hearts on the costume. The same is true for about a third of the /brsc -star posts.

Just because a tag is missing, doesn't mean it's neccessarily not applicable. If you notice missing items that are visibly taggable, feel free to add them yourselves.

Different users have different ideas about what is neccessary to tag, and almost no one does a 100% thorough job tagging everything that might be applicable. We do have a lot of obscure tags, and at least for me, shape and symbol tags aren't something I use often.

If you do decide to tag-garden star and heart though, do make sure they are prominently visible, and don't just tag based on association with another tag. As noted, even if something is canonically "there", it may not be visible in an image.
