touhou 13 general tag questions

Posted under General

Since there will soon be thousands of images, I want to make sure they are correctly tagged from the beginning, so:

Kaku Seiga:
Is there a name for that hairstyle or should we just use hair_rings. Orihime is also sometimes drawn with that hairstyle. It nearly always comes in combination with a shawl and traditional Japanese clothes. Examples:

Also, what is that stick in her hair called. I'm pretty sure hairpins are not usually that long and we don't even have a hair_stick tag. I also thought of kanzashi...

Wikipedia says:
The eight traits are: a hat to [...]; a promissory note that represents trust or confidence; a big belly that symbolises bold and calm decisiveness; and a friendly smile.[1][2]

That thing they hold looks like a notepad or a tear-off calendar. What would be the best tag for it?

hair_rings

Some characters from the various Romance of the Three Kingdoms adaptations also have that hairstyle as well.

I remember tagging a few of those as hairpin, but hair_stick does seem to be a better descriptor. Thanks for bringing up kanzashi though; I was wondering if there was a name for that kind of ornament. I suppose if they look Asian in design, then kanzashi should be used. If not, hair_stick.

Maybe hair_stick -> hair_ornament and kanzashi -> hair_stick implications would be needed.

Looks like a few of them are already tagged as promissory_note. Alternate suggestions: promissory_notepad, tear-off_note, tear-off_notepad.

This ancient Chinese hairstyle is called 飞仙髻 / 飛仙髻 (fei xian ji, flying-xian hairstyle). But hair_rings seems to be fine.

It's called 通い帳 (kayoichou). However I think notebook or notepad is sufficient.

Shouldn't the spoiler tag be added as well whenever they appear?

touhou spoiler is a mere 36 images, all but 8 are tagged crossover or parody. I think this pretty clearly states nobody cares about touhou spoilers, or at least if they do they just avoid image sites until they play the games.

For the taggers reading the forum.
According to her SoPM article, Toyosatomimi no Miko wears earmuffs (耳当て), not headphones.

Since fan artists thought she wore headphones, older images may contain cords / cables and should stay tagged as headphones, while others should most likely be edited.

However, in an interview ZUN himself said she does wear headphones. (http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Ten_Desires_special_and_two-part_interview_with_ZUN)
