Alias: juice box -> drink carton
(or vice versa)
The same thing. drink carton has much fewer posts but is the more general tag (contents not limited to juice).

I would be opposed to using drink_carton. It is true that the term is more general, but it's more general to the extent that it loses the inherent meaning of what is being tagged. A juice box naturally refers to the small cartons, but a drink carton could be anything from a large carton of milk to a small juice box.

drink carton -> juice box then?
I would also be against that, again given that drink_carton is broader in scope than juice_box. Someone could label a large carton of milk drink_carton and it would then get aliased over to juice_box and start adding noise to the tag.
The tags carton and milk_carton are also currently use. We might want to expand on the use of the carton tag and the milk_carton tag might need some clean up. If need be we could rename carton to drink_carton to differentiate it more from say things like egg_cartons.
The way the milk_carton tag is currently used is pretty broad, and is being used to tag cartons labeled with "milk" on it (post #856931, but also things like post #630313), cartons that have a gable top (post #852565), cartons which you can see milk coming out of (post #1016021), and then at least one that is a small triangular pyramid shaped carton (post #150941). We may want to restrict this tag perhaps to those which are labeled "milk" and maybe also those with milking coming out of them. Those that are non-milk should be moved over to the carton tag. This would mean that the milk_carton tag is defined by contents/labels, and would not be defined by a specific shape.
As for what specifically falls under the carton tag, I was not quite sure. We might want to use it as a catchall for all drink cartons, with perhaps excluding juice_boxes. If we included juice_boxes that type would likely flood out the other types of cartons, but even without juice_boxes the gable top type of carton is going to kind of flood out any other type like post #150941 from being easily found as well.
