Tag alias - blazblue:_chrono_phantasma -> blazblue

Posted under General

Reason: Chrono Phantasma is not a spin-off or something, it's just the new title for the new blazblue game, and therefore, doesn't deserve it's own tag, unlike Phase 0 for example.

It's the same thing as having a Continuum shift tag

3 new characters and new costumes are enough to leave it alone.

Platinum and Mu-12 were also new characters, and yet as I said, you don't see a Blazblue continuum shift tag.

That tag is a redundancy

You're citing tag that was either never created or destroyed with no discussion, not exactly the best basis for an argument.

Make blazblue an umbrella and add the subseries tags where it references a specific game/outfit from a specific game.

It was never created because people thought like me.
I repeat, Chrono Phantasma is a SEQUEL, not subseries, not spinoff, not doujin... It's plain old BLAZBLUE with NEW Characters.

There's no "naruto shippuuden" tag because of everthing I said.

Yeah, I'm confused. Every video game and every anime on this site gets an umbrella with its sequels, spin-offs and so on tagged, so I don't see why Blazblue should be exempted. Not to mention the fact that it will start getting confusing with characters introduced in later games with just being tagged BlazBlue

It's plain old BLAZBLUE with NEW Characters.

People who actually play the fighting games call each installation by its full name. It's never ambiguously called "BlazBlue". Always BBCT/BBCS/BBCS2/Extend or something along those lines.

Chrono Phantasma is a game in the BlazBlue series, so it deserves its own tag. Much like Street Fighter and Street Fighter Zero, for example.
