Cygames Character Tag Discussion

BUR #39768 has been rejected.

rename dark_angel_olivia -> olivia_(granblue_fantasy)

The reason for this request is quite simple. Her summer tag is olivia_(summer)_(granblue_fantasy), so why is her name so different? It doesn't make any sense.

Plus, I'm sure we'll see more artwork of her with the upcoming release of Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, since she's already in the game.

Also, on a slightly unrelated note, I'm somewhat tempted to rename all characters from Cygames like cerberus_(shingeki_no_bahamut) to cerberus_(cygames) to avoid further confusion about Ips since there are many characters who are present in multiple games. What do you all think?

Dark Angel Olvia is the full name in Bahamut, not sure how she's referred to in other games.

I support a Cygames qualifier though since I've noticed characters before who are qualified with Granblue that originated from Bahumut and its a whole confusing mess.

Either way this should be an alias, not a rename.

+1 on tagging cygames characters as _(cygames)
-1 on the current BUR, I think olivia_(cygames) would be better.

Someone needs to make a list of these characters. If we're changing qualifiers we should do it for all of them.

Many of these characters are already listed in the List of Shadowverse Characters. Not all characters are included, but it should be a good start.

Originally I was going to add more characters, but there were a surprisingly large number of possible tags to consider, so I'll just create more BURs later.

Downvoting this because Ameth (princess connect!) doesn't appear pretty much anywhere other than in Princess Connect!. In Shadowverse, she appears in only one card, and I don't think that warrants a flattening of the Priconne qualifier.

would a list of only characters that appear in at least 2 different cygames properties be fine? i primarily am familiar with granblue so there might be some non-gbf overlaps but i could get a list with characters appearing in multiple cygames properties and maybe the amount of times or how relevant they are in each maybe?

also, how would the copyright tags work if there are characters with *_(cygames), would it not be kinda confusing for people searching stuff?

Can't it be handled like project moon?
I don't see why some characters should be tagged as *_(granblue_fantasy) if there aren't other separate characters with the same name.

Because not everything Cygames has made is set in the same world, unless you're about to propose how Umamusume actually takes place in the far future of the world of Granblue and co.

this exactly. the games themselves do not share the same universe but cygames does recycle some characters, often times slightly altering lore to fit into each game's respective universes (although this is primarily their legacy characters, they still do it with new characters). a good chunk of characters do appear across their games as part of collabs but some are integrated individually as if they are not from other properties
