Assuming you cannot already do this and I am not blind, would it be possible to make a search for any tag used for say Meiling and Touhou?

My thinking on this is there are a lot of tags I have no clue exist and might fit the image that someone later adds. It's just more or less for accuracy sake. With the links to the wiki and images one could look at the tag and add it when it applies to future images.

That being said would it be too much work for too little gain? It's IMO more of a minor issue but something that popped into my head.

One more thing, I forget if it was mentioned. But would personalized tag templates be possible? When tagging "series" aka Touhou you generally use xyz tags all the time but they don't always show in "related tags". Being able to set up your own template would be really handy to get the basic tags you will always use out of the way.

P.S.

Would there be a use to setting up a specific guidelines/template for creating pools? I think I mentioned this somewhere before but just thought about it again typing this post out.

You can already do this. Go to your account settings and put your favorite tags in the Uploaded Tags box. Now when you edit a post these tags will show up under the Related Tags list.

Granted, this feature could be better documented.

I would support getting rid of dtext, it's far too limiting. At the moment it doesn't even seem possible to link to say the 'night_elf' tag with the text 'Night elves'.
Which can make it really hard to use links 'inline' in a story.

Also, I had some pages marked up with <abbr> and <dl><dt><dd> and so on, and it now looks like one big mess instead of a somewhat search engine friendly page that's using proper mark-up.

So yes, please out with dtext and in with something more HTML'ish if possible.

Also a feature to output tags in a http://www.opensearch.org/Home opensearch compatible format would be nice.
(also, being able to sort the JSON output of tags by the field values would be nice)

For wiki links you can actually write [[night elf|Night elves]], like this. Don't know why that's not on the help page.

With regard to transparencies and the default upload page.

Would it be possible to add the "ignore colours" check box to the default upload page? It would save from having to use two different upload pages depending on a transparency or not.

I were woundering if you all would love the idea of an Avatar
feature. Were you can upload 2D & 3D base Anime,Hentai and
Video game avatar for your use.
Note - You can also upload the image from your Pc. Or choose
one from the site..!

What? Do you mean like on moe.imouto where every image has a "Set avatar" option? People are vehemently against even having avatars on danbooru.

We've already shot down the idea for avatars earlier in this tread.

Also, a better search function for the wiki would be nice, since currently it takes whatever you entered in the search field (e.g: pokemon), finds every wiki entry that mentions what you entered, and displays it in alphabetical order. In my example, it's just easier to run a tag search, and look at the wiki entry there as opposed to digging through 11 pages of results.

There's been some mention here about rethinking the way parenting works.

Here's my proposal:

Is this really necessary? It seems to me that it would really clutter up the pool list with lots of two or three-post pools.

The fact that he calls it an anonymous pool later on in the post indicates to me that pools made in such a way wouldn't show up in the pool list.

Ah, that makes sense. Though I don't know how much of an advantage this would be over the current parent system.

I like how currently we can tell if a post is a parent/child before even clicking on the thumbnail too.

Oooh, ooh, this, this! Absolutely, I run into issues all the time related to this, I just never get around to mentioning it. So I would love an option between "title search" and "full text search" for the wiki.

I'd like a way to get exact hits for the wiki. I've created a template for pages on 3db but if I search "characters" I get every non-model page even though 90% of them say "is a character in blahblahblah." I know I've encountered this before here too but I forget what I was searching for specifically.

Oh and this might only be useful for a few people like me, but... When I do an alias, what's the chance of something automatic running and updating all wikis that include a link to the old term?

Probably all sorts of resource intensive and maybe I'm the only one who would benefit. Still, I'm sure I miss linked wikis all the time (just making sure I catch all the related tags can be work enough) and that's making for a good number of outdated wiki/tag links in the wiki. And outdated links affect everyone.

Although I guess it's just an extra click... get linked to the old term and have to click on the new one in the "This tag has been aliased to..." message. It'd still be a nice thing to automate in theory, though.

As for "between 'title search' and 'full text search'", aren't you moreso asking for "full text search" but with a sorting based on relevance rather than alphabetic order (or thread age in the case of the forum)?

Well, no, I want wiki title search to be explicitly title search. Only return stuff in the title of the wiki, and let me wildcard it as desired. As for the results that returns, I'd prefer it stay alphabetical.

With the full text search, I'm not sure how easily one could determine "relevance", but regardless of what sorting options are offered alphabetical should still be there too.
