And on top of it all, what I'm being asked to do is completely hypocritical. None the changes others want me to make seem to apply to other pools (which are older than mine) so I don't see why mine has to change first.

That's a big part of your problem. It's not about you and your pool. It's about pool #2562, period. The pool isn't yours, it was merely started by you. As wikipedia's disclaimer says, "If you do not want your writing to be edited, used, and redistributed at will, then do not submit it here". All content on danbooru is subject to being edited mercilessly if we so agree, and personal ownership simply doesn't apply.

That, and please back down with your sense of entitlement and ad hominem remarks.

On that point, why is the pool starter even shown when you look at the list? Considering we've had this stance on pools for a good few years now, it seems superfluous.

The pool creator can delete "his" pool and change it from public to private and vice versa at will. I don't know why a pool creator should have any of those rights at all considering the irreversible damage he can do (other than to delete an accidentally created pool), but considering he does have those, knowing who created the pool is useful information. For example, you want to tell nanami about some bare-legged bunny girl images he missed.

Yeah, it's basically poor-man's substitute for real per-pool moderation teams. Which I'm gradually more and more convinced is something we really need for some of the thematic pools.

Edit: There's now a thread to discuss that specifically, forum #56042.
