It's not what you think, which you could have verified for yourself without danger by checking the results of pool:2297 -scat. Even if it were, though, your personal distaste has no bearing on whether a pool should exist or not.

I was actually thinking of suggesting to rename it to Touhou - Childhood, seeing that other Touhou characters are portrayed as children in the past are quite common from time to time

Not quite. There's a few examples that wouldn't deserve the what tag. post #633567, post #759517, and post #475795 all don't deserve the tag to just pull a few from there.

I think this is very common and not very useful by itself.
The recently-introduced knifed tag seems to cover this.
Potajuu was pooled because there does seem to be some running gags throughout the series that tie it together and it has a consistent style and characterization of the characters. Given there's so many, as well, its easier to navigate if its pooled. I've seen other series that don't have a story per se but are pooled together.
pool #2211 - Light Haired Lyrica
Lyrica_Prismriver with her normal hair color.
Nearly all the posts in that pool simply lacked their COLOR_hair tags. I fixed them, some are not even light brown_hair, some are blonde_hair, some white_hair, grey_hair or silver_hair, so many of them don't even fit the pool definition. In the few cases where it wasn't clear, I've added both brown_hair and grey_hair/white_hair. I've added alternate_haircolor to the blonde, grey, white pinkish hair versions.
Besides, without all the lighting on the official portrait, her hair color is around #8a7060. The other 2 sisters have the same lighting effect on their hair, making parts of their hair appear completely white #ffffff.
