I've updated the kantai_collection wiki with the Kanji names since the shinkaisei-kan wiki already lists them. I've done this mainly because it will be more convenient to identify the names through description, pixiv tags etc.
I'm requesting for a possible proofread to see if any mistakes have been made.

Are girl_holding_a_cat_(kantai_collection) and error_musume redundant tags? They seem to be in use interchangeably at the moment:
Catgirl but not Error Musume girl_holding_a_cat_(kantai_collection) -error_musume
Error Musume but not Catgirl error_musume -girl_holding_a_cat_(kantai_collection)
Both Catgirl and Error Musume girl_holding_a_cat_(kantai_collection) error_musume
If they are redundant, requesting alias of girl_holding_a_cat_(kantai_collection) -> error_musume
At the very least, if there is a distinction between the two that I'm missing, a cleanup is necessary.
error_musume covers both girl_holding_a_cat_(kantai_collection) and kneeling_girl_(kantai_collection) and would presumably include any future error screen girls that get created.
Some of them might be mistagged, I know I fixed at least one before. Kneeling girl has longer twintails tied farther forward with blue ribbons instead of yellow, has more reddish hair, and her sailor collar and hat are a darker blue with a white stripe on them (this last definitely isn't consistent among fanartists though). And sometimes it might just be impossible to tell, this image of evil error musume post #1492091 seems like a cross between the two.
And looking at that post and the tagging of the shinkaisei-kan there reminds me of something I was thinking about earlier. We probably should have a more consistent tagging scheme for the shinkaisei-kan names. Wo-class got added long before the others and was thus wo-class_(kantai_collection) just like the IJN girls. But all the more recently tagged ones now listed in the wiki got tagged with their full description, e.g. chi-class_torpedo_cruiser. So it looks like we now have people tagging both ways (like the ta-class in that post).

reason: pretty much confirmed the fan speculation. a tag move would suffice but i guess an alias wouldn't hurt for her used to be name before joining the fleet. definitely not a spoiler.
Amatsukaze also has one which she calls "Rensouhou-kun". It's difference compared to Shimakaze's own is that it is encased in a ship-like hull and it has rounder facial features compared to them.
Given the visual distinctness, shouldn't rensouhou-kun have its own tag separate from rensouhou-chan? If there are ever any images of it separate from Amatsukaze, it's going to be hard to search.

Glancing over their Japanese names, it's looking like there's a real lack of consistency. Part of their names are translated, then end in the untranslated "hime", yet they are not actually pronounced "hime" in Japanese. Also I'm wondering about the "-symbiotic" suffix, since the same kanji 棲 (meaning "live" or "dwell" according to WWWJDIC, so wouldn't it rather be something like "-dwelling"?) is in some of the others yet is not translated into anything for the tag name here.
So apparently "X-棲姫" (X-dwelling princess?) is read as "seiki" and not "hime", but none of the usual meanings of "seiki" really make sense in this context, except maybe "精機", precision equipment. Unless there's a pun I'm not getting.
So unless we want a mixed translation such as "seaport_seiki" (which seaport_hime already is though), it'd either be "kouwan_seiki" or "seaport_equipment", neither of which I'm a real fan of. But "kouwan_seiki" would be following the Danbooru way of romanizing names at least.
Looking further, it seems the "oni"-tagged characters are pronounced "ki" too, resulting in some that are pronounced the same but rendered differently in kanji:

Obviously we can't just flat-out romanize them then, since the difference between the two would be lost. The kanji here is more important than the reading, if you encounter them in-game their class is labeled with just that final kanji (oni-class or hime-class).
As for the -symbiotic thing, I think that's more of a description than an attempt to directly translate it; you have the humanoid abyss girl and then the hulking monster that together comprise the 戦艦棲姫. Although unlike the others that have 棲 paired with a location (i.e. anchorage-dwelling oni), here it's battleship-棲, which could suggest that she lives with/is part of the battleship creature.
Locutions like this are always so fun to come up with a "correct" translation.

We don't translate names though, we romanize them. Translating would be OK if it's not a name but a description however. But it's not clear to me whether these are names or descriptions so it could go either way...
So any more opinion on a consistent naming scheme here? I would at least nix the "-symbiotic". If we keep to full translated names (as is the case with the rest of the shinkaisei-kan currently), we could go with "princess" for 姫 and "demon" for 鬼 as the Kancolle Wiki does.
