She has purple eyes, short grey hair with blue colored inner hair and a few pink streaks. Her default hairstyle is an asymmetrical bob cut with a single hair intake and long asymmetrical bangs covering her right eye. She also has small gradient feathered angel wings going from white to blue and a star-shaped halo (which is sometimes compared to a shuriken) floating off-center over her head.

Personality and trivia

Lore-wise, she is presented as an angel and a member of the student council.
She is also known by her nicknames "Kanataso" (カナタソ), derived from a Intentional(?) misspelling of her nickname "Kanatan" (カナタン), "PPTenshi" ("PowerPoint Angel", originated from her habit of using Microsoft Powerpoint during stream), and "Gorilla" (due to her revealing that she has 50kg of grip strength). Apparently, she is noted for her questionable fashion sense (the PP Tenshi T-Shirt is an example of this).

She and Kiryu Coco were real-life roommates, and the apartment they shared was nicknamed the "KanaCoco House" by other members of Hololive who visited to hang out.

Despite the fact that she's an angel, her room is so messy that Coco has repeatedly described it as a "Maou's lair", and even Houshou Marine was disappointed to see that Kanata's definition of "cleaning up" for her... Was just making sure she had a clear space to lie down in.

A running gag among Kanata's fanbases involves her claim to have a large breasts that were "hidden" away for "decency" reason, only for her to either find an excuse not to prove it or using a misfit cutout and pass it off as her "actual" breasts.

On 16 May 2022, she unveiled her mascot: Upao, a blue axolotl.
