    chess clock

A chess clock is a clock with two faces used in competitive chess games, that keeps track of the total time elapsed throughout all of a player's turns. The clock is set to a specific time at the start of a game, after which turns can be exchanged by pressing the button atop either clock face, automatically starting one and stopping the other.
