holotori

An official hololive unit consisting of Takanashi Kiara, Oozora Subaru, Pavolia Reine, Nanashi Mumei and Takane Lui.

Conceived as an idea by Kiara in the same vein as UMISEA, the official grouping of ocean-themed virtual YouTubers within hololive, HOLOTORI is meant to bring together all avian-themed virtual YouTubers in hololive. True to the intended spirit, all of the members Kiara brought together all share bird attributes as part of their lore. Namely; a phoenix/chicken, duck, peafowl, owl, and a hawk.

It was formalized as an official unit for hololive Summer 2023, releasing a group single a week before the event.

Although Subaru (the "duck" representative) is not related to a bird in any way according to her original lore (being supposed to be a sports club manager), Subaru's lore was retconned to some degree to identify her as a duck due to a popular joke around her ASMR voice that she later embraced.

Use this tag when:

• The image/commentary mentions the name "holoTori" or "holoBirds", and/or
• The artist deliberately groups all 5 of the members (or their respective mascots or their avian animalizations) together.
