create alias blackbeard_(greatest_ocean)_(fate) -> edward_teach_(greatest_ocean)_(fate)
create alias blackbeard_(midsummer_gentleman)_(fate) -> edward_teach_(midsummer_gentleman)_(fate)
create alias blackbeard_(formal_dress)_(fate) -> edward_teach_(formal_dress)_(fate)

I forgot the guy's name and I only know him as Blackbeard.
Blackbeard is the name Edward Teach went by while he was alive. The name is so ingrained as his identity that "Edward Teach/Thatch" redirects to Blackbeard on Wikipedia.

Generally with Gacha characters, the trend has been to use whatever their ingame name is for the sake of making sure people can look them up, and ingame they call him teach. I'm not entirely against the shift if there is some nuance to the gacha rule that I am unaware of, but otherwise I'm not really seeing a need for a rename.

Though, for the hell of it I typed in both names into the search bar to see what comes up, and I find it curious that blackbeard doesn't actually have a historical tag. You'd think that a pirate as notorious as him would come up more often in art, but it seems that Fate has the majority.

He's just asking for an utility alias so that typing "blackbeard" shows the teach tag, he's not asking for an actual change to how we tag the character.

I’m not about to fight for the tagged name, just a suggestion to make the search for the character easier on users not too familiar with the name.

Fancy then. Considering that Fate is like, 90% of the tag, I don't see an issue with that.
