I think it's incredibly frustrating and exhausting to have so many tags for various Mario characters when we already have such granularity with the games. I've complained before about it here forum #246514 and I'm still against game-specific tags for each character. princess_daisy_(hoops_3-on-3) has 90% overlap with mario_golf:_world_tour, both only have 7 posts, it feels like tagging for the sake of tagging.

rename princess_peach_(yukata)_(super_mario_odyssey) -> princess_peach_(yukata)
rename princess_daisy_(swimwear) -> princess_daisy_(swimwear)_(mario_kart_tour)
rename princess_daisy_(swimwear)_(mario_kart_world) -> princess_daisy_(swimwear)
I'm going to ignore the shitshow Kalp is trying to get approved with improper qualifiers and focus on something more pertinent. Footage of Mario Kart World has begun spreading online since the Switch 2 Direct and with it includes the entire starting roster of the game. The game is going to feature costumes for the first time in a mainline game, but it's already contradicting Mario Kart Tour's naming in one significant way.
The Yukata costume Peach is receiving in World is not the one from Tour, but the one from Super Mario Odyssey, with the Fire Flower print on it. As a result, I think it makes sense to swap which costume has the copytag qualifier, because the Tour!Yukata is exclusive to it while the Odyssey!Yukata has spread beyond that game now and is therefore game-ambiguous unless given context in the image itself. Similarly, Daisy received a new Swimwear in World that's different from the one she has in Tour, so preemptive rename.

Yeah, the Yukata tags for Peach got merged together when I first made the BUR to implicate them (and still was fairly inexperienced). It's good they've been split now, as they are separate costumes and the differences aren't exactly slight either.
...Oh boy. Back to the Mario Kart costume BUR grind for me, it seems. Lots of costumes to come...Especially Peach's...

Yeah, even with the starting list I added to World's wiki that seems to be the starting costume selection, it's missing a bunch of costumes seen in the trailer. Who knows how many more costumes are unlockable (and how many more they might add as microtransactions/DLC)...

Already seeing Peach costume art passively on my Bluesky (and sure enough, after a double check yep it's on the Booru too). The moment I realized Mario Kart World had official alternate costumes, I was already bracing myself for the ensuing onslaught of costume art and resulting tags and BURs to organize to come, for all the reasons you described. Though I'm currently waiting until we got more art/info on the game before doing anything in order to make sure everything's in order (like names and such) as it stands. Though it seems it's already started finding its way onto here, so I suppose I'll keep my fingers on the Mario Kart World's pulse for now.

I think you made a typo there; Rosalina (touring) should imply Rosalina, not Princess Daisy.

No, these should all keep the qualifier. Swapping these tags like this is just going to cause unneeded confusion.
