create implication tamamo_no_mae_(swimsuit_lancer)_(fate) -> tamamo_no_mae_(fate/extra)

Tamamo umbrella tag is fucky wucky, starting with one of the easier ones. I think leaving her swimsuit as an umbrella tag is fine because she's wearing the same bikini in all three ascensions, its a very clear progression. That being said, having our current implication tree be

  • Tamamo
    • Tamamo no Mae
    • Tamamo no Mae but in a swimsuit
    • Tamamo Cat
    • Tamamo Aria
    • Tamamo JK
    • Tamamo Vitch Koyanskaya
    • Amaterasu

Is really, really stupid.

I don't think we have a real name for this variant aside from her simply being known as "Tamamo", and as a costume it's known as "Student Outfit" (衝撃の学生服), but either way "JK" is a non-qualifier tbh. Tamamo JK is what the Japanese tagname is on Pixiv and matches up with how the other Tamamo Nine are named (though apparently Tamamo no Mae herself isn't sure if she's part of the Tamamo Nine? Huh.)

Alternatively, if we're sticking to the whole "Tamamo JK is just a costume for Tamamo no Mae" concept. Will note that Tamamo no Mae (Tailmaid Strike) costume has the same hairstyle as Tamamo JK. Don't know how we wanna go about that, but I am finding a lot of art of those specific curly twintails without either costume.

Alternatively, if we wanna repurpose the Fate/Extra tag as a costume tag for her kimono. I'm... hoping I did this in the right order for the implications to stick to Tamamo no Mae (fate) instead of Tamamo no Mae (Fate/Extra)?

This is going to empty the tag, so we'll end up with no post under tamamo_no_mae_(fate/extra). Might be a good idea to prepare a mass update to repopulate it immediately after so the implication is not removed by the weekly pruner.

Okie, added a line for that. Favgroup isn't fully populated disclaimer + will want to move the third ascension implication if this goes through also but I'm not sure how much nonsense I can shove into one BUR before danbooru gets confused.

If we do this we also end up with four layers of implications. I really don't like this.

We would end up with:

  • tamamo (all)
    • tamamo (original, from fate extra)
      • her swimsuit
        • a variation of her swimsuit

At this point it's worth considering whether we really need the tamamo (fate) tag, if these characters are supposed to be different. Koyanskaya (Fate) looks pretty different from Amaterasu (Fate) after all. It seems like it's becoming a case of Sakurafaces/Saberfaces rather than something we need an umbrella for.

Honestly the only use case for the Tamamo tag is the very few posts depicting unnamed members of the Tamamo Nine, which 1) is hard to search with using the Tamamo umbrella tag alone and 2) are more easily found with the Tamamo Nine tag in the first place. This would leave some of those posts without chartags otherwise which is mildly upsetting but not the end of the world, probably.

All the posts in tamamo_(fate) -(tamamo_no_mae_(fate) or tamamo_no_mae_(swimsuit_lancer)_(fate) or tamamo_cat_(fate) or tamamo_jk_(fate) or koyanskaya_(fate) or tamamo_aria_(fate) or amaterasu_(fate)) should just be those aforementioned Tamamo Nine solo posts. Not going for a complete nuke immediately in case someone wants to propose tags for those/posts were untagged/etc. (For blue users—this search is functionally equivalent to tamamo_(fate) chartags:1.)

It's not ideal but the remaining Tamomo Nine members could be given chartags with placeholder names until their identities are fully revealed (assuming that ever actually happens). Something like tamamo_nine_(pink), tamamo_nine_(blue), etc. (though naming them by color is complicated by three of them being shades of green).
