Does it really make sense to use this grouping just because the "Aesthetics fandom" does?
Even looking at the tag currently, I don't see what it's trying to be except an extremely broad umbrella tag. Of these 4 styles, I've only really ever heard of jirai kei, and looking at the examples of the other ones, they seem pretty "light" so to say, while jirai kei tends towards the "darker" (not only literally) aesthetics. I don't think it makes sense to group these together.
IMO fashion is already a questionable tag, but that feels sufficient for posts like post #5669939 and post #8562306.

Maybe I worded the original post wrong. I wasn’t saying we should imply these just because of the aesthetics wiki, I was just using the aesthetics wiki as an additional source to support what I was suggesting.

Girly kei is a specific fashion style that features some similar aesthetics to lolita, but much more casual in comparison. It usually consists of high waisted skirts or dresses paired with a blouse, tights, heels, and cutesy feminine accessories like ribbons, bows, lace, and frills, though there are substyles (like jirai kei) that change/add some things.

Kinda funny you described it like that because another name for jirei kei is actually "dark girly" lol. Even though jirai is technically a substyle of girly kei, I guess I could live without it being implied since over time the definition of jirai has gotten so broad that a lot of what isn’t what I’d consider jirai is still being tagged as jirai_kei.
Yeah, I just feel like girly is just too broad of a style and also too similar to what is generally considered mainstream fashion in japan instead of anything really alternative. As Anon Tokyo said we usually would just use the fashion tag which encompasses anything "fashionable" that's not alt-fashion for posts like post #3026448
Also isn't larme-kei not a style? From what I understand it's not really considered something that actually exists because larme is just a mainstream fashion magazine and not one that's focused on a single style like GLB.
Quick edit: I do think the himekaji tag can and should stay and maybe even alias the hime gyaru tag to it because that's just himekaji gyaru. French girly is probably also keepable, post #9239436 and post #9096681 are basically the same outfit so it makes sense to have a tag that ties them together. I just don't think an umbrella tag for all of these is useful enough.
