Boxcutter is a kind of knife, right?

at first i was sceptical but it turns out wikipedia places boxcutters in the Utility knife article, so that settles it

Somehow this isn't already implying knife so here is the BUR (unless there's some reasons I miss for why it should not imply knife).

I'd be hesitant on doing this as they are radically different in appearance . Sure they're under utility knife in Wikipedia, but just look at their own article on Utility Knives the appearance of a the first utility knife image is easily recognizable as a knife but the second image of the "boxcutter" is a completely different look. Lumping them together seems more of a "technically correct" than actually being correct for utility purposes of the site.

If we're going to lump the "technically a knife" tags under knife, you'd have to also do that with scalpel and machete . Of note, boxcutter, scalpel, and machete all have their own holding_* tags. Also have to include straight razor under knife as well.

Edit: just to add to this. If we're to follow Wikipedia, then by their own article we'd have to have sword implicate knife.
