I don't get why this one got disapproved, it does say that it's from disinterest of the approvers, but in my opinion, it should be on danbooru just like the other Reze fanart:

Now these, that are NSFW and yaoi-ish, why did they get disapproved so much? I think these belong here on danbooru as well like many other nsfw yaoi artwork on danbooru:

I would just like to apologize for uploading a duplicate before checking if it was already here on danbooru. That was an accident and I'm sorry.

This isn't my post, but:

denied despite an identical post approved:

The reasoning given was that we don't need identical posts on the site. But we have several? This is actually so common and a standard part of the site that I don't know what the reasoning given means. See:

The two sets above have the exact same resolution and no difference in details between both, and both are approved and parent/child posts of each other. I looked through the Wiki, and the Post Relationships page says:

When identical images from different sources have been uploaded.

Why is the first image I linked denied despite being part of an identical image set with a previous source approved, even though this is allowable and is the norm?

Hi, sorry to bother you, but I wonder why this one got deleted? (a bit NSFW)

It doesn't seem to be of lower quality than most arts by the same artist.

Her arm is incredibly thin, it looks like this artist really struggles with the upper torso in general. Most of their works didnt go through the moderation system but were uploaded by trusted users so I don't know if comparing them is helpful.

Look at the file sizes on the posts you linked. The parent posts have a significantly bigger size than the child posts. This is because twitter compresses their images lossily. They are not "literally identical", if you zoom in you will be able to see they are grainier and the colors aren't as faithful. On occasion images that are truly identical may be approved (pixel-perfect duplicate), but these are usually by accident.

If the compressed version is uploaded first, the uncompressed version can be uploaded later since it is higher quality. Hence you wind up with two copies of the same image. But if the uncompressed version is already up, it doesn't make sense to upload the inferior one afterwards. Now, in this particular case, if does look like the inferior version (post #3783975) was uploaded before the uncompressed version, by about 10 minutes. When the uploads happen this close together, the first one is not always approved. I personally tend to un-delete uploads where this happens, but this is by no means required or done by all approvers.

And finally, if you want to check if images are identical, you can use Duplicatebooru (https://duplicatebooru.zipfiled.info). It's a quick way to check images in more subtle cases like these.
A note about file sizes: if the difference in file size is very small (only a few KB or so) the images may still be pixel identical. This is almost never the case once the difference is over a MB, but it's another reason why tools like Duplicatebooru are helpful.

[…] but I see that quite a few people have upvoted and favorite'd the post as is.

Porn/lewds always get more upvotes and favorites than non-lewd art. Even badly drawn lewds get voted up and favorited, so votes and favorite count are more meters for lewdness than quality.

I see. Still, I'd like to see at least one of the uploads I made get successfully updated.
